Giovanna Florencia Padilla
PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN
Gio is a dedicated physical therapist and the founder of Emerald City Run Club. She combines her love for running with a strong background in exercise science to help her patients recover from injuries and improve their performance. Gio’s experience as a ballet dancer gives her a deep understanding of body mechanics, which she uses to address the root causes of injuries and create customized rehabilitation plans.
Her approach focuses on both injury prevention and education, ensuring that patients not only recover but also learn how to avoid future problems. She’s further expanded her knowledge of running through courses with leading experts, allowing her to integrate effective programming and coaching techniques into her treatment plans.
Through Emerald City Run Club, Gio promotes a supportive community where members can train together, achieve personal records, and celebrate their progress. Many of her club members have reached major milestones, like qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
Fluent in Spanish, Gio is able to treat a wider range of patients and overcome communication barriers. Originally from Dallas, she now embraces the outdoors and natural beauty of the Northwest, though she’s still adjusting to the winters.
