Laura Shellooe Soderlind
PT, DPT, COMT
Laura is a local Washingtonian, right down to her degrees. She completed her B.S. in Biology with minors in dance and entrepreneurial leadership at Gonzaga University in Spokane and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Laura is a ballet and modern dancer, starting at age 4 and continuing through her graduate school years. Her passion for dance and biology is what drove her to career where she can continue to support physical function and movement.
Laura is passionate about treating a variety of conditions and creating collaborative relationships with patients. She has special interests in treating orthopedic injuries in performing artists and pelvic floor conditions for people throughout their lifespan. She completed advanced coursework in rehabilitation of performing artists and in women’s health while completing her doctorate. She has furthered her education on treating pelvic floor conditions for men and women through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute. She is currently a member of the Seattle Dance and Performing Arts Medicine group and participates in community clinics and screenings for performers.
As a dancer and seeker of all activities that are fitness related, Laura strives to support others in achieving their movement goals while fulfilling her own. She can be found taking Argentine tango classes with her husband, working out over zoom with her parents, paddleboarding in the evenings, running recreationally and exploring new food experiences in Seattle.
