Maral Javadifar completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at New York Medical College in 2015, followed by a Sports Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her residency at VCU she gained increible sideline experience with a wide variety of Division I athletes. This opportunity, as well as internships at the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute in Houston and Functional Movement Systems (FMS) headquarters in Virginia, have created a solid understanding of how to bridge the gap between sports medicine and sports performance.
In addition to treating athletes, Maral enjoys treating complex and challenging neuromuscular conditions utilizing her expertise in holistic assessments. She is determined to find the root of each patient’s problem and works diligently to figure out why this problem exits so she can thoroughly correct it.
Prior to starting her career as a PT, Maral attended Pace University on a college basketball scholarship, where her team made it to the NCAA tournament three out of four years, with one appearance at the Sweet 16! She continues to enjoy playing basketball, weightlifting, going on outdoor adventures, and traveling to countries to explore different cultures. She is also fluent in Farsi.
